Are pets allowed in Bluewater Properties?
Pets are permitted in a few of our properties. If a property is pet friendly that information will be specifically noted on each property's information page and the property will be listed on the "Dog Friendly Properties" page under our "Vacation Rentals" tab. Our team would also be happy to help you determine whether the property you are interested in allows pets. Guests are responsible for any and all damages caused by their pet. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ ALL OF OUR PET POLICIES LISTED ON OUR WEBSITE UNDER THE "GUEST INFORMATION".
What is your payment schedule for reservations & what are my payment options?
A payment of 50% of the reservation total is required at the time of booking. The balance is due (30) days prior to your arrival date. Payments and deposits are accepted in the form of credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or DiscoverCard), E-checks, or personal checks payable to Bluewater Vacation Rentals. We do not accept American Express cards at this time. It is a common situation for groups to travel together and split the cost of a trip. We are happy to accept payment from more than one member of your party, however each payee will be charged a 3% card processing fee individually.
What is your cancellation policy?
Unless covered by Travel Insurance, cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date will result in forfeiture of the initial reservation deposit (50% of entire reservation). Unless covered by Travel Insurance, NO refunds will provided for cancellations made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date. Early departure does not warrant any refund. What is Bluewater's check-in/check-out policy?
On your scheduled day of arrival you may check-in any time after 4:00 pm EST. On your scheduled date of departure, check-out time is 10:00 am EST. (Failure to check-out on time without written consent from Bluewater will result in a minimum $75.00 per hour fee.) Please make sure the dates on your confirmation are correct.
ALL EARLY CHECK-INS & LATE CHECK-OUTS MUST BE CONFIRMED VIA EMAIL OR IN WRITING.

What is provided for each rental in regards to linens, bath towels, and toiletries?
Each bed within the property will be freshly made with sheets, pillow cases, and a top blanket or comforter upon your arrival. Each full bathroom is outfitted with 4 large bath towels, 2 hand towels, and 4 wash cloths. The linens and towels will be changed upon your departure unless mid-stay housekeeping services are purchased and scheduled through our office. Linens and towels are not permitted to be removed from the rental property.
Each bathroom will have an initial supply of bar soap and toilet tissue. Each kitchen will have an initial stock of dish detergent, scrubbing sponge, dishwasher soap, garbage bags, and paper towels. This start-up kit is provided to prevent the inconvenience of having to shop for these items the day that you arrive. The start-up supply is not designed to last for the duration of your stay.

What housekeeping services do you offer?
We take pride in our rental properties! Each cottage is thoroughly cleaned between guests. Departure housekeeping services are scheduled at the time your reservation is booked and are required. Additional housekeeping services such as mid-stay cleans and towel and linen service are available upon request for an additional charge.

What do we need to bring?
Each property is unique, but certain items are provided universally. All Bluewater cottages are equipped with bed linens, towels, a starter kit of amenities, laundry room (without detergent supplied), iron & ironing board, and a coffee maker. Our front desk team members are familiarized with each property and can answer specific questions about the property you've selected, such as whether it has a traditional coffee maker or a Keurig (email such inquiries to: [email protected]). Here are a few suggestions of items that are NOT typically provided: large baking dishes (for meals such as holiday turkey), hair dryers, beach and pool floats and toys, golf clubs, tennis racquets, laundry detergent, condiments & spices. Paper products, trash bags, personal items and toiletries are supplied in the welcome kit we provide but will likely not last your entire stay. If there is anything you must have to enjoy your vacation, please bring it with you.
